Grayscale statistics have one channel; use the non ``l_*``, ``a_*``, ``b_*`` fields. RGB565 statistics use the ``l_*``, ``a_*``, and ``b_*`` fields. Fields are accessible by name (``statistics.mean``) or by index (``statistics[0]``).
